About this day out

Spend a day in the city of dreaming spires. Oxford has been a place of learning for more than eight hundred years, and it wears that history openly — in its quadrangles, its libraries, and the worn stone steps of colleges that students still walk into every morning.

Your guide will walk you gently through the historic centre, past the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library and the Bridge of Sighs, before leaving you free to explore. Browse the Covered Market, sit in a college garden, visit one of the museums, or simply watch the punts go by from the riverbank.

Your day, hour by hour

  • Pick-up and departure

Board your coach at the local pick-up point you chose when booking. Please arrive about 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

  • On the road

Your guide sets the scene with the story of England's oldest university and the city that grew around it.

Step off close to the historic centre, with its colleges, quadrangles and cobbled lanes.

  • A guided stroll

A gentle walk past the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library and the Bridge of Sighs, at an easy pace with plenty of pauses.

  • Free time to explore
